When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play right now? I'm totally digging Spotify right now. I'm all over the map in my music taste, and I love the freedom to find whatever I'm feeling like right at that moment. Hip-hop is usually my go-to in the car.

What's the first album you bought? The first album I bought that really affected me was Nirvana's Nevermind. I was 13, and the teen angst, the intensity, and the contrast between melodic hooks and power chords was mind-blowing. Still one of my favorites!

What's the first concert you saw? New Kids on the Block -- what 10-year-old girl could refuse Donnie Wahlberg and his rat tail?

What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? I saw John Legend at Celebrity Theatre back in 2006. It was so intimate and just a simple production that showcased his talent, and he was so smooth -- best concert, by far.

What's the last song played on your music player? I'm training for an Olympic distance triathlon right now, and my favorite genre while on the bike is classic rock -- the last song played was The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black." It's funny, because when I'm teaching boot camp or running, I'm all about strong beats, like Maroon 5's "Payphone" or LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem."

Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? Digital! I love being able to take so much music with me wherever I go so that I always have whatever I feel like.

What one band do you wish was still together? *NSYNC. Ha-ha. No, probably Nirvana.

What's your favorite album? That is so hard to answer because I have so many favorites for different reasons! If I had to pick just two (there's no way I can pick just one) it would be Counting Crows' August and Everything After, because it reminds me of some of the best moments of my life, and Adele' 21, because it came out right at a time when I felt like she wrote every song just for me.

Who is your favorite singer or band? I am a huge Beatles fan (I even took a class on them at ASU). Hearing how they shaped music to this day and how they evolved as musicians through their career is remarkable.

Does your computer track how many times you've played something -- if so, what's at the top of the list? I go nuts when I hear a new song that I love -- I think I played Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" at least 500 times in a row when it first came out.

What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from the past year? Drake's Take Care. I've always liked Drake, but I feel like this album has so much more personality than in the past.

What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience? Trevor Hall's "Good Rain" -- it has a cool reggae feel to it, a fantastic message, and it just makes me happy.

Who is your favorite local artist? Jason DeVore. He's so fun to see live.

What is your favorite local venue to see music? I had such a great experience at Celebrity Theatre, and there just isn't a bad seat in there, but I'm still partial to tiny little shows at local taverns.

What is your favorite music video? Beastie Boys' "Sabotage." Awesome!
