Memorial Services Set for Local Musician Marco Holt
Memorial services have been set for fallen Arizona musician Marco Holt. On Sunday, May 6, family and friends will gather to commemorate the passing of The Tremulants singer/guitarist, who lost a bout with cancer last month.

The service will be held at the Sister Cities Garden at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, promptly starting at 5 p.m. and continuing until 10 p.m.
"It is open to all, and will not be an insufferably formal affair," friend and bandmate Isaac Hensleigh says. "The intention will be to remember and celebrate Marco."
The local music community has been mourning the loss since his death on Saturday, April 14, chiming in with support and kind words. Former Loud Americans bandmate Jeff Gonzales wrote us saying:
I met him at 15 in 1999 and began playing in Loud Americans with him at 17 . . . Marco was one of the most caring, and generous people I ever met. He had a profound effect on me, and words can't express how much I'll miss him.
Toby Fatzinger of Former Friends of Young Americans says:
Marco has worked with nearly everyone in town, he has influenced me musically in addition to countless others, and he has personally helped more people than anyone I've ever known.
And Los Angeles-based renaissance man Brodie Foster Hubbard wrote on his website:
All my memories of the man are of him smiling, of him being so nice and warm and welcoming, of him enjoying playing music . . . If music is my religion, Marco is now one of its saints.
The Marco Holt memorial celebration takes place on Sunday, May 6, at the Sister Cities Garden at Kiwanis Park in Tempe at 5 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend and bring food for a potluck picnic immediately following the service.
