Better on the left or better on the right?
Making a record is an involved, laboring process. There's writing, recording, mixing and mastering.

Sometimes it can be the little things that vex an independent band. Currently, alt pop-rockers Bad Lucy find themselves mulling over the artwork for their upcoming EP. The guys held a cover shoot with models Lear Miller and Katie Flanigan and now have two shots to choose from.

The band is so torn that they're crowd-sourcing the decision to their fans.

Find out how you can chime in and help the band decide, as well as details about the album release party after the jump.

Up on the Sun: How's the EP coming along? Has it been a pretty seamless process or did you guys run into any snags?

J. Miller: It wasn't as seamless as we would have liked it to be, but such is life. We set a certain precedent with the quality of recording, and that precedent comes with a price. It was definitely worth the wait. The EP has been a long time in the making, and we're ecstatic that the moment has finally arrived.

We're most excited about our next single "Knife" which will be releasing on April 8.

You guys are having a hard time deciding on the cover art and are asking your fans for help on choosing. How can our readers chime in and put in their two cents?

The shoot was a collaboration with our homie Lear Miller and model friend Katie Flannigan who is as unconstrained, and vivacious as they come. Needless to say, we got a lot of images that were really great... it was hard enough narrowing down to the two present images. We're so torn that we're crowd sourcing the decision to our fans, and hopefully your readers too. Head over to our blog to weigh in on the debate.

Do you guys have a release date you're shooting for? What else is on the horizon?

We will initially release digitally to Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon on Tuesday, April 10. There may even be a listening party if you know anyone who would be willing to host. The physical copies will first be available on April 27, at midnight on our website, and free to anyone who comes out to the release party at Yucca Tap on April 27. I hear we get a plaque with our name on it for doing the party there, so that's exciting. Then we've got some other dates in the works at places like Long Wong's, The Rogue Bar, Rhythm Room, and Crescent Ballroom before we hit the road for a quick tour making stops in Denver and California, and possibly as far as Texas. Places we've been meaning to get to but haven't in a while.

Where are you going to be for St. Paddy's Day?

Drinking green beer and bro-ing out, obviously.
