Word broke this aftenoon that officers from the Tempe Police Department have arrested the owner of the Clubhouse Music Venue in the wake of last week's gang-related shooting at the venue.

Eugenia Ruven, the owner of both the Clubhouse and the adjacent Horse & Hound bar, was cited for a class three misdemeanor for failing to properly follow the venue's security plan.

Ruvan was cited and released for the offense at approximately noon today at the venue. Tempe Police held a press conference regarding the situation this afternoon and we'll have more information on the situation, and what it could mean for the Clubhouse's future, as soon as possible.

I'm sure there have been many a great show performed at Clubhouse.  Blame the promoter who's going to book an act like Nipsey Hussle.  It's not the owner's fault that his following is chaotic.  Now this has gone completely out of control.  The owner isn't there to watch every show, how did they know that this was going to happen?  People now want to point fingers, point them at those responsible, the promoter and the artist who promotes gangster activity. And they're not willing to take necessary precautions in case of emergency?  Now we lose another venue in AZ, now Hip-Hop carries the negative image of violence.  People can't wake up from the repetitious nonsense, why does this childish nonsense happen where people are trying to have a good time?
