You know, it's not just Valentine's Day and Arizona's Centennial Birthday: It's also New Release Day, a special day that happens once every week when the record labels sound out shiny discs to stores and let you start listening to stuff on Spotify.

Of course, you've got plans tonight. You'll be making your significant other a wonderful dinner, and then watching movies like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Psycho (both shot in Arizona, which means they fill both the romantic requirement and AZ's statehood birthday). Never fear, we've hand selected a few Valentine's Day appropriate tunes from the fresh release crop.

Barry White, "Let the Music Play" from Let the Music Play (Expanded Edition)

Does it even matter what Barry is singing? Let the Music Play, originally released in 1976, isn't Barry's sexiest stuff, but the man could sing the ingredients listed on a cereal box and it would inspire action. The record sees re-release today, but skip the remixes of the title track at the end of the disc and focus on the remastered quality sound of the original running order. Put it on while you make dinner because you blew it on a reservation.

Tennis, "Dreaming," from Young & Old

You know, despite that review, we actually don't hate Tennis that much. This track, from their new record Young & Old, featuring everything we like about the band, with swooning melodies and excellent production. Wouldn't sound terrible during a makeout session on the couch, right?

Phenomenal Handclap Band, "The Right One" from Form & Control

Let's hope you're spending Valentines Day with "the right one." (See what we did there?) Cheap jokes aside, this kind of a electro-pop thing can get real boring, real fast, but accompanied by this video, we don't mind it much at all.
