Celtic Punk Band Bollox (Featuring Members of Authority Zero and Sister Cities) Re-Release Debut Album

Just in case Flogging Molly's annual St. Paddy's Day stop in Tempe doesn't make it abundantly clear to you, the Phoenix metro area loves Irish stuff, and it loves its Celtic punk.

In 2009, Authority Zero frontman Jason Devore (who headlines the New Times Soundcheck festival this weekend) formed The Bollox with Keith Walker (of Irish rockers Power of Dreams and more recently, Sister Cities), Jason "Saddy" Combs, guitarist Greg McLarty, and drummer Brad Park. The band released a self-titled CD in March 2009, and a year later the group disbanded, making the the album nigh impossible to come by.

Well, good news for you boyos looking to score a copy of the record: It's back in print.

"Jason and I are very proud of this album and we hope it reaches fans of Celtic, folk, and punk music far and wide," Walker says in press release pimping the re-release of the album, which is available on "iTunes, Amazon, and other major online stores."

You can sample the album's 11 tracks via iTunes.

Could the album's re-release signal a (green beer-fueled) reunion? We'll have to see, but Authority Zero is scheduled to play at Dos Gringos in Scottsdale on St. Patrick's Day.

Keith was The Bollox he was the only Irish guy in the band and the only one that mattered really, so i doubt that it will sound anything other than excellent.
