Iñiguez is a professional golfer. For more info on him, visit his website here.
When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play right now? Straight out the gate, it's usually BackSpin on Sirius. Its got a solid mix of classics.
What's the first album you bought? Ice Cube's, The Predator. I was so wired to get that tape and rock it in my Walkman. Yeah, tape and Walkman -- I think they may have those dinosaurs in a museum somewhere, haha.
What's the first concert you saw? Rage Against the Machine and Gang Starr. I was stoked to see that show, it was intense!
What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? The Scratch Tour, period! It was money watching DJ Jazzy Jay, Swamp and AZ's own Z-Trip throw down and turn those decks into instruments. Turntablism at its finest.
What's the last song played on your music player? Drake's "Headlines". I needed something to fire me up before I teed it up.
Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? Vinyl, without question. You should see my collection. It's nuts.
What's your favorite album? Trick question! That's like asking a parent who's their favorite child! Haha, anything that can make you boogie!
Who is your favorite singer or band? Wow, tough one. I have multiples, but right now it's coming out of my love for jazz, Diana Krall. She has a great voice, hands-down.
Does you computer track how many times you've played something -- if so,
what's at the top of the list? "Heard 'Em Say," by Kanye West, but Atmosphere and The (Rolling) Stones are a very close number two!
What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from 2011? Electronic Dream, by AraabMUZIK. A buddy showed me a clip of a show here at Bar Smith and it was just sick! A YouTube must for sure.
What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience? Right now, hmm, it would be "This Must Be The Place (Naïve Melody)," by Talking Heads. There's just something about this song.
Who is your favorite local artist? Man, there is a handful, but off the top of my head, Weird Is the New Cool and DJ AL3 both can get a crowd jammin'.
What is your favorite local venue to see music? You can't go wrong with Celebrity or Marquee Theatres, and The Trunk Space is a cool spot, too.
What is your favorite music video? "Make Some Noise," by Beastie Boys. This video cracks me up! I busted out when I saw the cow bell. These guys are too funny.
