Incoming (Again): Odd Future, Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Brian Jonestown Massacre
Hey, I know we already did an Incoming Concerts post this week, but I'm getting drowned in show announcements here at UOTS HQ. 
Brian Jonestown Massacre
So let's dive in: The rap collective Odd Future head back to Marquee Theatre on Friday, March 9. Will the crew sell the joint out again? Will Tyler, the Creator's new album Wolf (full of "weird hippie music for people to get high to") leak before the show? Will OFWGKTA's Adult Swim program Loiter Squad out-freaky Tim & Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job? Only time will tell.
Then there's the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which might as well be called "Metal Christmas," with Slipknot, Slayer, As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, White Chapel, High on Fire,, and Anthrax (wish they played more often), invading Ashley Furniture HomeStore Pavilion on June, 30, 2016.
Seeing High on Fire oughta be a treat, but I'm even more excited about deranged psych-rockers Brian Jonestown Massacre heading to Crescent Ballroom on Tuesday, May 1.
If you're the kind of weirdo who gets into Jonestown records, and I am, though the last one, Who Killed Sgt. Pepper? didn't do much for me, it's worth nothing that May 1 promises the release of the band's 13th album, Aufheben, though word on the street suggests that songwriter Anton Newcombe put the whole thing up on YouTube. If what is blasting through my headphones is indeed the new record, I'm pretty much sold on the thing, especially opener "Don't Say a Thing," with its big beat drums, over-driven bass, and chiming guitars.
