The last couple of days have been downright lousy. On Thursday, November 3, Gwar guitarist Cory Smoot was found dead by his bandmates as they crossed the Canadian border while on tour. On Monday, boxing great Joe Frazier succumbed to liver cancer.

Yesterday afternoon, TMZ reported that Dwight Arrington Myers, better known as '90s rap icon Heavy D, passed away after being rushed to the hospital.

According to both TMZ and People, police say that foul play was not involved and are treating his passing as a "medically-related" death. Paramedics were called to Myer's Beverly Hills condo after the "original overweight lover" began experiencing trouble breathing.

The exact cause of his death is still unknown.

Best known for his 1991 hit, "Now That We Found Love," Heavy D remained a fixture in music releasing Love Opus this September as well as performing at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Wales just last month.

You can fast forward to the 3:00 marker to catch Heavy D strutting on stage.

We'll always remember him as the big man with the slick moves, quick tongue and feel good vibe.
