The Rolling Stones offer up exclusive music on "Back To Black" Friday -- don't miss out!
Black Friday. One of those days when people like me hole up for one more day of food-coma bliss, fearing the heightened level of commercialism that turns consumers into zombified shopping maniacs, out for blood over $30 plasma televisions.

But the upside to Black Friday is when the words Record Store are slapped in front of the normal terrifying term. As in Record Store Day "Back to Black" Friday, when a plethora of limited-edition vinyl records are released into the chaos for music nerds everywhere to fawn over.

While there may be the occasional scuffle ("That's my Hot Sauce Committee deluxe edition, you son of a bitch!"), the selection of records is eclectic and exciting, with exclusive releases by such big-name acts as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, and Beastie Boys.

While the folks behind National Record Store Day make it clear that not all stores will stock all releases offered and that, obviously, some may sell out, you're sure to find some musical gems.

According to the official Record Store day site, local Valley record stores participating include Stinkweeds, all Zia Records locations, Tracks in Wax, Revolver Records, and Rockzone Records. Find the full list of releases here.

We've compiled a list of 10 of the coolest items from this Friday's list, from the first vinyl remaster of Pink Floyd's The Wall to a Type O Negative box set.

1. The Byrds bring two 7-inch single releases. The first include covers of two Dylan songs on the "The Times They A-Changin'" b/w "She Don't Care About Time" 7-inch single. The second single available is "Eight Miles High" b/w "Why" original RCA Mono recordings.

2. Nirvana: Nevermind -- The Singles, 10-inch vinyl box set. Here you'll score 10-inch versions of the official singles from Nevermind, collected together for the first time, including "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are", "Lithium," and "In Bloom," with live cuts.
