Everybody's favorite friendly gang of puppets are finally coming to a theater near you very soon, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Jason Segel and The Muppets are not only bringing you what will probably be an excellent movie but also an all star cast. Lady Gaga, Dave Grohl and Selena Gomez will be making appearances in the movie too.
Jack Black is no stranger to playing the role of some sort of music dude in a handful of movies. In addition to the Muppets, we've come up with a few more music-related movies in which Black keeps it cool.
In this John Cusack film, Jack plays an overly enthusiastic record store employee who always puts on what he wants to listen to and tries to give Cusack pointers on what's best for him. You've got to admit, he makes a mean Monday tape.
School of Rock
This movie features Jack Black as the cool teacher you always wished you had when you were younger. Not only does he eventually incorporate educational material into his class, but he trains all the kids in the class to be one giant rock band. Rock on, kids!
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
An obnoxious Paul McCartney who can't stop stating the obvious is played by Jack in Walk Hard. The film sure does poke fun at the Beatles in this scene, but even if you're a Beatles fan, you'll find that it's all done in good fun.
Fight For Your Right (Revisited)
This star-studded Beastie Boys short film from earlier this year features Jack Black as what a young MCA sees himself looking like in the future. The trouble-making Beastie Boys video includes hoodlum activities, a dance-off, and even...well, see for yourself what comes next.
Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
Jack makes up one half of the comedy rock duo Tenacious D, along with his partner in crime, Kyle Gass. Here's Jack melting faces in a small club while performing Tenacious D's song "Master Exploder." Can you dig it?
