Fishbone, The Lesser Saints, WTFunk Fridays, Leo Kottke, and Willy Tea Taylor This Weekend
It's another packed weekend in the Valley. Tonight, Sound Striker-Immortal Technique performs a benefit show at the Puente Office, and Mr. Meeble brings its crazy-as-hell laser show to Crescent Ballroom. On Saturday, you've got folk from Loudon Wainwright III and John Prine, and funky pop courtesy of Kreayshawn. And of course, Sunday promises a show by our favorite asshole, Morrissey. 
But the ultimate winners this weekend this weekend are Fishbone fans. Not only is the group scheduled to perform on Sunday at Crescent Ballroom, but Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone begins a week-long theatrical run at Harkins Theatres Valley Art Cinema tonight. Documenting the times the funk-punkers, the film is "a story about music, history, fear, courage and funking on the one."
Of course, while Fishbone fans get it best this weekend, there's still plenty going on. Read on for our weekend concert picks.
Friday, November 18:
The Lesser Saints perform with a host of other rock 'n' roll acts at The Big Fish Pub as part of the Exposed Music Fest.
WTFunk Fridays celebrates its two year anniversary at The Stray Cat with sets Bob Domestic, Emcee Criterion, Lakai with Social Studies, Sam Edwards, and DJ sets with Sauce on Drums by Marvel and Pearlie Cue.
Saturday, November 19:
Folk-master Leo Kottke brings his sound to Mesa Arts Center.
Gentleman-songwriter and farmer Willy Tea Taylor brings his down-home poetry to the Yucca Tap Room.
Sunday, November 20:
Fishbone is scheduled to perform at The Crescent Ballroom.
