Tumblr of the Week: Snail Quail

It's been a while since I've written about musical duo Snail Quail, but my goodness are they enjoyable. They write fun songs about goofy topics, which kind of makes them the Flight of the Conchords of Phoenix (and who doesn't miss FotC? HBO Sundays just aren't the same without them).

This week we're bringing you some Tumblr lovin' from Snail Quail on their blog Sleep Waking.

Even though Snail Quail's Tumblr isn't jam packed with music-related material, the posts say a lot about the band's personality. From epic clips and GIFs from movies and classic stills from television shows to silly inspirational quotes and interesting speeches by Ron Paul, Sleep Waking has got it all.

I don't care that their video for "Phoenix, Arizona" is nearly a year old; I still get a kick out of it every single time, and I'm sure you will too. Check it out below.

Snail Quail are scheduled to perform Monday, September 19, at Donna Jean's Libations in Glendale.
