Cement and concrete are often thought to be the same thing, but that isn't necessarily the case. Concrete is made possible through a process called hydration, in which cement and water are mixed with gravel-like aggregates to make the solid sidewalks we stomp our feet on. At this point, you may be asking yourself why the hell does any of this matter if we're talking about local rockers, The Necronauts.


Well, drummer Dale Goodson will tell you that the band and concrete are a lot alike. Hardened over time.

We hung out with the guys as they played a track off of last year's double album, Gauche et Droite (on Black Cactus Records). They'll be playing with Former Friends of Young Americans July 21, at The Lost Leaf.Check out the video after the jump.
