Thankfully her new song and video, "My Moment," isn't as bed as her mess of a first single, "Friday."
The new song is essentially about the last song. She's sticking it to the man and addressing her haters by rubbing it in her face that she's going to enjoy the limelight whether they like it or not.
"Haters, said I'll see you later / Can't talk to you right now / I'm getting my paper," she sings.
If you were expecting anything that's an even bigger conversation piece than Friday, you'll be disappointed. If you expected the dancing to get better, you'll be disappointed. If you expected the lyrics to be more cheerful than the "fun fun fun fun" of "Friday," you'll be disappointed. And I'd like to point out that for the majority of the time that the random guitar chick in the video is strumming away, she's playing the guitar during parts of the song that don't even have a guitar part. Regardless, just about anything is a step up from "Friday."
