Amy Winehouse was found dead in her apartment Saturday. She was 27 years old,
according to NME.
While the cause of her death is currently unknown, it is suspected that she died of a drug overdose.
More recent reports are saying that Winehouse died from an
ecstasy overdose, according to MTV producer Danny Panthaki. In other conflicting reports, her parents say that such a claim in "
nonsense."
Furthermore, Amy could have been dead for
up to six hours before her body was found.
Considering her well-known history of drug and alcohol abuse, Amy's death didn't even surprise her parents. "It was
only a matter of time," her mother Janis said.
