As we've already pointed out, rock stars like to write and star in comic books. The best of these comics contain original story lines and fantastical heros and villains, but sometimes, they take a more straightforward, biographical approach.

The comic Female Force: Madonna, scheduled to be released in August, falls in the latter group. With artwork by Michael Johnson (Star Trek: The Original Motion Picture Adaptation comics, Superman/Batman) and a Madonna bio penned by CW Cooke , the Madonna comic is more of a collector's item for fans of the pop star than an imaginative foray into a parallel universe. KISS may battle demons in their comics, but don't expect anything from the Madonna comic except what we already know about her.

Female Force: Madonna is the latest in Bluewater Productions' "Female Force" comic series highlighting successful women. Women previously featured in the comic series include Hillary Clinton, JK Rowling, Oprah Winfrey, and Sarah Palin. The point of the Madonna comic, according to Bluewater Vice President Jason Schultz, is "to show the little-known events and influences that resulted in Madonna becoming the phenomenon she remains to this day, more than a quarter-century after she burst upon the scene."

bluewater is a terrible company that doesnt pay most writers or artists and their 'biographical' comics are often nonsensical and barely about what they are supposed to be. check their lady gaga bio book for a great example of What-The-Fuck-Itude
