When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play right now? KYOT (95.5-FM) smooth jazz.

What's the last song played on your music player? Dax Riggs, "Radiation Blues." I think he was overshadowed a lot when the whole White Stripes craze was happening.

What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? Against Me! about six years ago at the WOW Hall, a tiny venue in Eugene, Oregon that sells PBR by the six-pack in the basements for five bucks.

Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? Digital. I used to scratch way too many CDs, and I can't take vinyl on a run.

What's your favorite album? Currently, The Growlers, Are You In Or Out? All-time, The Smashing Pumpkins, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

Who is your favorite singer or band? Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

Does you computer track how many times you've played something--if so, what's at the top of the list? If I am just listening, I usually use Internet radio, but the station I listen to the most is Junior Kimbrough.

What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from 2010? The Black Keys, Brothers-- amazing album. Even the hipsters still like them after that album. Went in a different direction, but didn't go far from what they do well. They are just two guys that write great music and perform great shows. Showmanship is huge now that music is becoming much more available and easier to record. You may sound good in the studio, but can you perform?

What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience? Stevie Wonder, "I Just Called to Say I Love You". Before a Friday night dinner service, everyone in the back kitchen was singing this song--kind of universal whether you spoke English or not. A beautiful moment.

What is your favorite local venue to see music? So far, the Mesa Ampitheatre has been the best for outdoor for me. I really like the Rhythm Room, as far as indoor.

What is your favorite music video? That's easy. Michael Jackson, "Thriller".
