Good news for fans who are still miffed at Bob Dylan for canceling his appearance here in 2009: he's scheduled to play Comerica Theatre on July 18, and the stage is indoors and air-conditioned.

Back in 2009, Mr. Dylan and co. canceled a stop at Camelback Park in Glendale due to fear of excessive heat. Now, mind you, it really shouldn't have surprised anyone that it was going to be hot in Glendale on August 11, but so it goes.

The musical legend -- who recently turned 70, which we marked with a blog post celebrating the seven best "New Dylans" -- released his last studio albums, Together Through Life and Christmas in the Heart, in 2009, and in 2010 released the eight-disc Original Mono Recordings set and The Bootleg Series, Vol. 9 -The Witmark Demos: 1962-1964.

In fairly unrelated news, The Wallfowers song "6th Avenue Heartache" has been stuck in my head for the last week, so take from that what you will.

Dylan indeed cancelled a show in 2009, but you're neglecting to mention he then did a $20 show at the Veteran's Memorial State Fair a couple months later...

bob dylan is really boring. you will fall asleep at this concert so snort a few lines of crank-speed before you go to stay awake.
