Meat Puppets at SXSW, Great White, Baseball Project, Lady Gaga and More in This Week's Print Edition

This week's main music feature is a column I wrote in Austin, Texas after a week of South By Southwest craziness. It was a rough week for Arizona -- the most attention anything related to our state got was a panel hosted by boycotters -- but Meat Puppets frontman Curt Kirkwood managed to put everything in perspective. I can't tell you how much I appreciated getting his perspective after feeling like our scene had been kicked around all week.

Speaking about things that are awesome about Arizona: Spring Training has drawn indie rock supergroup The Baseball Project here for several shows. Imagine a Ken Burns documentary soundtracked by members of R.E.M. and Golden Smog. Jason Woodbury explains what the hardball-themed project is all about.

Also in this week's issue, Brian Bardwell takes on Great White, and small previews of Lady Gaga, Rebulation, Pink Floyd Experience and Lords of Acid.
