"Fuck Spring Break" - This Week's Noise Complaint Comic from Robbie Pfeffer

Categories: Noise Complaint
SpringBreak_Tempe.jpg
Last week was Spring Break at Arizona State University which means the streets of Tempe were silent as most date-rapers and date-rapees their victims were out in Lake Havasu (note: for the love of God, not Rocky Point, please don't be in Rocky Point! Your mother is sick with worry! She can't sleep!) listening to tales of what college is like for their friends back home in California.

This means that the Father's Day show Up On The Sun cartoonist Robbie Pfeffer scheduled at The Fix venue he runs off Mill Ave could have done a little better.

But let's have him tell it...

I don't understand why Robbie gets so defensive whenever someone makes a negative comment on these things. Don't get your panties in a twist kid. Do what you do because you're good at it and screw everyone else.

First of all thank you. The main reason I like to leave sarcastic comments to angry internet people is A) I think it's funny how worked up people get over comics B) the more comments you have on a post the more it gets promoted in the site, so it's a cheaters way of getting people to read it.

When students are on Spring Break, many just want to be as far away from the campus as possible. Judging by the consistent turnout at gallery openings that occur on campus on Tuesday nights, I'd be pretty certain it was a timing thing.

Yeah that sounds about right. We had a show last night and had a pretty incredible amount of people turn out considering it was a Tuesday, so my faith is re-restored :)

Glad to hear it Robbie! You should definitely stop by the campus for gallery openings--ASU has good things going on with MFA and BFA shows every week!

I used to go every week, I really like the openings. Although if they are still on Tuesdays I can't make it because I'm not in the area on Tuesdays. I should be getting a car soon then I will have to come by.

Maybe there just wasn't anyone that wanted to go to this particular show..

Yeah, in all honesty this might be true. But I'm dealing in broad assumptions for the sake of attempted humor.

Funny enough, this is excatly what Spring Break felt like from Middle School and up. Now @ 27, "Fuck Spring Break" sounds about right.

I'm ever so sorry I didn't entertain you! I'm leaving a link to the "Marmaduke" website so you can read something more interesting.

Your little flier or whatever the fuck that is along with your attitude here is the shit that turns people off. Talk about stereotypes. You fit the snobby, elitist, I'm smarter, "oh, I'm an artist" stereotype perfectly, you fucking douchebag. Maybe people don't show up because you're off-putting. And your shop is probably filled with people just like you. You can stand each other but strangers hate you. "But considering the fact that I wasn't in school this semester I completely forgot about Spring Break." Sure cool guy. I bet your parents don't like you.

If I make my internet comments and my "fliers" a little nicer will you please hang out with me? Things are really tough since I can only hang out with my weird clone friends and my parents won't talk to me.

My "flier" is a comic, by the way. You can tell because it says "comic" below the title and I'm introduced as a cartoonist.
