What's the last song played on your portable music player? Starkillers, "Scream." I know this because it's stuck in my head right now and absolutely driving me crazy.
What's the first record you bought? Beastie Boys, License to Ill. So badass--I was like 6 or 7 and thought it was the coolest thing ever.
What's the first concert you saw? Rage Against the Machine with Bad Religion, Beastie Boys and Gang Starr, Los Angeles, Calif. Changed my life!
What's you favorite concert you have ever been to? Invisibl Skratch Piklz with Mix Master Mike. Unreal what those guys do on turntables--I was blown away.
Preferred format: CD, Vinyl, Cassette, 8-Track, or digital? Vinyl. No brainer, next question.
What's your favorite CD? That's a loaded question! All-time? Hm, probably Rage Against the Machine, Evil Empire. But as I'm saying that, a million more come to mind.
Who's your favorite singer or band? Probably have to say Steel Pulse or Damian Marley. I'm always in the mood to hear any tracks from them.
Does your computer track how many times you've played something--if so, what's at the top of the list? Any Thievery Corporation track really. That's what I put on when I'm doing random stuff around the house or just relaxing. It will loop all day if I let it.
What's your favorite new or new-to-you album from 2010? Gorillaz, The Fall.
What one song would you play if you had a worldwide radio audience? "Roots Rock Reggae," Bob Marley & the Wailers. Just puts me in a good mood--so why not, right?
Who's your favorite local artist? Dry River Yacht Club. They're great. I've seen them a handful of times.
What's your favorite local venue to see music? Culinary Dropout! Yucca Tap Room is cool, too. I've been to the Rhythm Room once. It was pretty nice.
What is your favorite music video? They still make those?! "Weapon of Choice," by Fatboy Slim, hands down, no question. You know, the one where Christopher Walken dances the entire video--epic!
