It's odd to think that at this time last week there were still plenty of three-day passes available for Coachella. It was well-documented, however, that the festival sold out last Wednesday afternoon, leaving a considerable number of fans in the dark.

Ticketless Coachella-type music fans in Phoenix, worry not: a good number of bands playing the festival are coming through the Valley before and after Coachella.

At the top of this list has to be French dance/electro/pop trio Yelle. Once they wrap things up at Coachella, Yelle will embark on a small North American tour, kicking things off at The Rhythm Room. Now, I've seen Yelle live and no words can really describe how energetic and flat-out fun the band was -- especially lead singer Julie Budet. If you missed out on Coachella tickets and only go to one show come this mid-April, make it Yelle.

Joining Yelle with just announced shows of their own are Jethro Tull, G. Love and Special Sauce and The Joy Formidable -- yet another foreign Coachella act playing Phoenix.
