Yann Tiersen in the Coolest Accordion Video You'll See All Day -- He Plays Scottsdale Sunday

Categories: Video

This weekend's show by French composer Yann Tiersen, the man behind the Amélie soundtrack is sort of a weird one for The Venue Scottsdale. Sure, lots of places have concerts like this by chain-smoking French dues who were influenced by the Stooges and Joy Division before turning to classical music and composing music on the accordion, but Arizona is too often not one of them.

So if you like usual shows, check out Yann as he plays here in support of his October album Dust Lane. Tickets are $20 in advance here.

"if you like usual shows?" maybe i'm just friday PM dense(r than normal), but should that be UNusual shows?

This video is from 2001. Why didn't you post a video from his tour last year? His band and sound are much more post rock now. Here's him playing at the Rialto in Tucson last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
