Hip-Hop Gets Two Day Celebration at Musical Instrument Museum

Categories: Announcements

Phoenix's Musical Instrument Museum will host a two day celebration of hip-hop on February 5 and 6. A performance by local turntableist DJ Radar, backed by a three-piece band, a screening of the documentary From Mambo to Hip-Hop: A South Bronx Tale and live performances from painters and dancers are the highlights.

There are more DJs spinning, too -- DJ Element and DJ Pickster One among them -- as well as lectures and a round table discussion.

There's a full schedule of events below or check out the video above for a preview of From Mambo to Hip-Hop: A South Bronx Tale.

The museum looks cool. $40 just to get my family in the door, mind you... but looks like something I need to check out. Been yet, Martin?
