Dave Pratt "Set To Return" to Morning Radio

• I'm a longtime KUPD listener and toward the end of the pratt era I would flip stations if that arrogant POS was talking. It was so about him and not the music, not the listeners. Pratt, if you're reading, I say this with no vex or animosity; you are all about your ego and you can't hide it. If you get a 2nd chance you have to find a way to be interesting w/o being boring or arrogant and I doubt you can do it, looks like you should go to school for a real job. I laughed at how you would bag on country and the alternative stations, then ran to them for a job when KUPD tossed you. I was shocked when they hired you after talking all that crap about their station and their genre of music. Now you've exausted all avenues and KMLE even paid you to sit out to save them money? HUH, WTF???? They had to pay you and pay someone to sit in; how's that saving them money? Their listeners were so done with you that they had to toss you to avoid losing them, that's the truth. You're the equivalent of the person who has a face for radio, only you have the proverbial face and voice for radio.

• Exactly Mike! I listen to Howard 100 & Howard 101 all day. Best $13 a month I have ever spent. Dave Pratt is a has been "turd in the punchbowl."

• I mean really & who gives a sh*t?? Mark Curtis owes dave pratt his left nut. If not for Pratt mark curtis wouldn't be sitting in the captains chair at channel 12. We all know that. But, does mark Curtis really want to jeopardize his "image" with the fine viewers of NBC and back Dave Pratt? Hell NO he doesnt. Bad enough he has to sit next to Lin Sue Cooney and remind himself everyday that her husband killed that person with his boat at Saguaro lake a couple years back and she got him off completely. No one wants his, has been, waste of air time azz poluting their airwaves and killing moral at their station anytime soon. If anyone ever actaully went to one of those Dave Pratt public events you saw who was there to see him. No one you wanted to be seen with or around I can assure you that. A bunch of drunken rednecks & even more drunk indians escaped off the reservation. The stations, ALL of them, realized Pratt wasn't worth the MILLIONS of dollars he was stealing from them with his tired show. Its been over 2 years now and we can all stand together and say out loud, "who freakin cares where Dave is at or if he ever does come back." He has always been Howard Sterns Bitch in the morning and then he was Tim & Willys Bitch. Now he's openly Mark Curtis' bitch begging him for a job. He didnt quit KUPD. He left with his crew because of what they all did during a surprise visit to a Kamp KDKB event one year. Hollywood Bob and Paul the Producer should ask the ladies to show some I.D. next time to verify their ages one could say. Just shows once again that Dave and his groupies that he drags station to station are all stand up people who you want on your payroll. I applaud KMLE for making the decision to sideline him for the reaminder of his contract. Even though it was a paid vacation for 2 years its better than having him and the boys dragging down your station with his watered down version of the Howard Stern show. By the way, I am a proud listener to Sirius satellite radio each and every day. NO commercials and NO Dave Pratt wanna be's. Just lots of music, talk radio or sports whenever I want it. I cant wait to see where Dave pops up at and for how long this time. Just like Van Halen told Diamond Davis Lee Roth.................. "Dave, GET THE PHUK OUT".

• Dave Pratt is a common talentless thief working off the backs of talented musicians. He is a tired unoriginal act that has nothing to contribute. Personally, he has stabbed so many in the back trying to feed his ego, it is hard to see that anyone who actually knows him or his thin body of work - would consider it anything but pedestrian at best and would half to be a blindman to see any benefit of put him back on the air! He'll, who would advertise? As one contributor already mentioned, who listens to radio anymore? Maybe that would be a great place for Dave Pratt... His wife is probably tired of listening to him at home. Lets allow h to break this one promise to his listeners and grant him a hallpass to NOT go back on the air! We would be doing us all a favor - including Dave.

• "KMLE didn't want to pay him, period" They wanted him so much that, rather than =avoid= paying him, they've spent more than two years paying him to stay the heck away. The KUPD situation was a lot different, and not just about money. Pratt wanted to either have oodles of extra time off if he stayed on mornings or to be moved off morning drive entirely. KUPD, unsurprisingly, wanted its Morning Mayor on, well, mornings, and =every= morning at that. In the end, they made the only possible decision wrt their own interests, and it's hard to argue against their having made the right choice (particularly in choosing Pratt's successor).

• Dave didn't burn bridges at either. KUPD didn't want to pay him what he was worth after making the station what it was for 25 years, and KMLE didn't want to pay him, period.

• Not me, Sirius all the way, no 'nonstop blocks of uninterrupted commercials' that last my entire commute!

• Radio? OH! Is that that thing that people used to listen to before iPods and MP3s? Is that even still around? Who knew?

• In other "news," Corey Feldman made a movie that went straight to DVD. After burning bridges at two local radio stations, Dave Pratt was recently paid his final check from KMLE and released from his gag. Now he pulled a favor from Mark Curtis in order to get his voice heard again. Will he regain his long-lost following, or will NBC12 and AZcentral be added to his burned bridge list? Did this experience humble him, or will he immediately be doing the dollar dance if he manages to regain popular public opinion in the Phoenix area? His trademark wrinkles and acne scars were photoshopped out of of his book's picture. That looks nothing like him.
