Zack de la Rocha, one of this year's movers and shakers of the Phoenix music scene.
In the final issue of the year we've got some great year-end recap stories. There was always someone or something shaking up the Phoenix music scene in 2010, including the Sound Strike, the unfortunate death of Carnegie of rap duo Silver Medallion, openings and closings, and more. On a lighter note, the best local albums and EPs that were released by Valley bands this year have been compiled for your listening pleasure.

Choosing the best albums of the year isn't an easy task, which is why six New Times contributors have given their best shot at naming their top 10 records of 2010. Meanwhile, 13 New Times contributors have also listed their top 25 albums of the year in case you missed any of this year's hottest releases.

Plus we've got show previews for Alter Bridge, Fiesta Bowl Block Party, Scottsdale's Ultimate Block Party, Coco Montoya, and Adios Mother Fucker.
