Gorillaz May Be Done With Huge Gigs, Release "Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach" Video

Consider yourself lucky if you got to see Gorillaz on tour this year. The band has announced that they might be through with playing huge shows, according to NME.

The band can't "keep going at this size and pace," Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn said. He says he feels that the band has achieved what they wanted to on this world tour, and because they've fulfilled such dreams, it may be time to stop and try something else that's not on such a large scale.

Albarn's Gorillaz partner Jamie Hewlett also said, "This would be a wonderful point to leave Gorillaz, at the end of this tour, I think."

Sure, it's always nice to end on a high note. But is it possible that there could there be no more Gorillaz after the band's tour is over? Only time will tell. In the meantime, enjoy Gorillaz's new music video for "Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach," featuring Snoop Dogg.
