Denver's Mr. Pacman is scheduled to perform tomorrow night at Yucca Tap Room.
Blues Harmonica Showcase at Rhythm Room (Thursday): A virtual "who's who" of both local and nationally-know harmonica maestros will be working their blues harps all evening long at the Rhythm Room, filling the joint with all manner of funky jams. The Rocket 88s will host the event and the lineup includes proprietors Bob Corritore, as well as such blues greats as Sugar Bear, Robert Jackson, Harmonica Boyd, John Calley, Walking Cane Mark, Campfire Rick, and others. 7 p.m., $10. (1019 E. Indian School Rd.)

Bass, Lettuce & Techno at Bar Smith (Thursday):
Downtown's premier hipster spot is adding another killer night of DJs and dancing to its already stacked calendar (which already includes such popular events Solstice and The Scenario. DJs Josh Lestis and O.G. will be spinning a mix of deep bass during the evening in an attempt to get folks to stay up late and forget there's a work day on Friday. 9 p.m., $5. (130 E. Washington St.)

Razer at Blooze Bar (Friday):
"Things have been looking good for the hard rockers of Razer. They recently secured national management, the services of a booking agent, and just put the finishing touches on a new EP entitled Do You Want It. The album's title track was co-written by Marty Friedman of Megadeth fame (and also features his hot licks). Even if you've never seen them live, you may have already heard Razer singer Chris Powers on the video game Guitar Hero III or caught some of the band's songs on Sirius XM's Octane channel..." Shotfest IV at Yucca Tap Room (Friday):
Bands such as the Minibosses, The Necronauts, Flagstaff's I Hate You When You're Pregnant, L.A.'s Totally Rad!!!, and the aforementioned Mr. Pacman will once again be trying to determine how much sauce they can stomach while performing during this annual exercise in alcoholic excess. In case you missed our coverage from earlier this week, here's how it works: Participating bands will do shots between each song and play for as long as their temperance dictates. The event also serves as the final gig for local indie band The Vin-Fiz who are going out both with a bang and plenty of booze. 8 p.m., free. (29 W. Southern Ave., Tempe)

The Growlers at Trunk Space (Friday):
"The Growlers are mid-fi, psych-garage Nuggeteers from Costa Mesa, California, who exist in a unlikely, beach-rawk nook. They're too sexy and fashion-forward for Drag City, too hopelessly twisted for In The Red. New album Are You In Or Out? has 18 solid tracks of sunny, mucky, druggy, fucked-up fun, coming soon to a Terminal Boredom message board argument or Scion-sponsored event near you." 8 p.m., $8-$10. (1506 Grand Ave.) -- Ian Hrabe

Cheap Thrills at Brick (Saturday):
Jared Alan and Sean Watson's renowned hipster dance night has gone from monthly to weekly status, which means you can experience their brand of "dancing and debauchery" each and every Saturday night. This weekend's edition features the long-awaited return of Benjamin Ko (a.k.a. DJ Benko) to the record decks, as well as an appearance by The Ariel and such Cheap Thrills residents as Prince$$ and Don Ricardo. 9 p.m., $5. (455 N. 3rd St.)

Obscura's Tron Legacy Party at Rips (Saturday):
Some would argue the new Disney movie 'Tron' is just as much about the music as it is about the video game-themed story, considering French DJ duo Daft Punk crafted the soundtrack to the film. In honor of the movie, monthly dance party Obscura is throwing a Tron-themed shindig, with lots of Daft Punk music spun by DJs Roya and Funkfinger..." (read more) 9 p.m., $5. (3045 N. 16th St.) -- Nicki Escudero
