Eastside Records, a local shop that will unfortunately soon become a memory.
The rumors are true: local record store Eastside Records will be closing up shop at the end of the year. Although they haven't been hosting wild shows since the mid-90s, they've still got an impressive collection of rarities that rivals that of any other local record store. Moreover, their employees have always been the source of a wealth of knowledge about every record in the shop. The digital downloading era has obviously posed Eastside with some sales challenges, but they've stuck it out for as long as they could. But all good things must come to an end, and such is the fate of Eastside Records.

Girl Talk, also known as Gregg Gillis, the mash-up phenomenon, is changing the game for artists around the world. Gillis discusses his sampling techniques, fan engagement, and how social media has affected his career. He took over the Internet with the release of his album All Day, and he doesn't even own an iPod. Meanwhile, Kinch is creating a sense of musical community with their third annual Kinchmas show. The night will entail a fun night of Christmas shenanigans, and the gig's proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit organization Ozanam Manor.

Plus we've got show previews for Fear Factory, Steve Aoki, and Authority Zero.
