Weezy: Free At Last!
Lil Wayne, whose real name is Wayne Carter, was imprisoned at New York City's Riker's Island for having a loaded gun on his tour bus in Manhattan in 2009. He pleaded guilty when he was charged.
He was only required to serve eight months of his year-long sentence. Nobody saw him as he left covertly this morning.
After releasing one of this year's best selling albums while still in jail, there are already rumors spreading of Weezy making a surprise appearance at a Drake show in Las Vegas on November 6.
Show your support and expect to see a few people wearing "Free Weezy" shirts today. Nothing shows a sense of community like backing your favorite hip-hop and rap artist. And if Bill Clinton can show compassion for Lil Wayne, everyone can.
