Zoe Boekbinder Brings Vaudeville-Style Music to The Trunk Space
| Zoe Boekbinder |
Boekbinder is part of the fraternal twin duo Vermillion Lies, but she comes this weekend for a solo stint, playing music off her debut full-length album, Artichoke Perfume. Her music is sweet, charming and quirky, all at the same time, with her website strangely accurately describing it as "music for people who wear sequins to the library."
Boekbinder's honed her on-the-road skills on tours with bands such as The Dresden Dolls and The Ditty Bops, and she's become a Trunk Space regular.
"I fall in love--again--every time I see her perform," says JRC, co-owner of The Trunk Space.
Boekbinder's joined by local acts Dangerville, Hello the Mind Control and Lauren Farrah. It's an all-ages show, starts at 8 p.m. and costs $6. The video below isn't quite vaudeville, but it is a super-awesome cover of a Beyonce hit.
