Devo, Weezer, Menomena, and More in This Week's Issue

Synthesizing machine Corey Busboom holds a homemade musical contraption
This week's music feature is on Corey Busboom, a local who makes quirky instruments and one-of-a-kind synthesizers. He never thought he'd get a call from Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo. Mothersbaugh was enamored with Busboom's creative products that he called to buy 12 of them. Life got even better for Busboom when Devo used his instruments on their latest album. Now he can say he's a part of Devo history.

Despite the appeal of their latest album, there's so much more to love about Weezer than Hurley. How about the material on their essential "Blue Album"? And it turns out that Menomena doesn't write their music in a traditional sense. Can they finish another album even though they don't have a goal for when they want to complete it?

Plus we've got show previews for Blue Oyster Cult and Foghat, Rockstar Energy's Uproar Festival, The Walkmen, Dungen, and Brad Paisley.
