Bright Eyes Records Song For Arizona Boycott Group
Bright Eyes has recorded a single for the group of musicians boycotting Arizona.
"Coyote Song," can be bought for $2 here if you want to support people boycotting our state. Or you can give money to people actually working in to make a difference on the ground in Arizona by buying our compilation, A Line In The Sand, here.
Yeah, we did the benefit song thing months ago. Cuz, ya know, we live here and actually care about the state, unlike Bright Eyes' singer Conor Oberst who's happy to play pro-boycott shows in Los Angeles.
"American ideals of democracy and liberty are built on the foundation that all people, regardless of race or country of origin, deserve fair and equal treatment by the government," Oberst said in a letter. "We've all seen the power music has to spread messages of solidarity and hope. Please join the Sound Strike Songs project by donating a track and help us... enable people to continue to dream."
Or you could just forward $2 to The Florence Project, a deserving charity, certainly, and circumvent these haters.
