• <p>Andy Krissberg and Jalipaz have done a record together years back and were close. I would guess Jal is cool with Andy and most of those guys. Hooves are wreckless and filthy in ways that I find to be admirable. Funny story to let you know the destructive power of this group. We got a hotel room (this is pre-hooves). We spent the evening throwing the mattress around the room, ordering prostitutes and then not answering the door while we giggled and peaked under the door to look at their platforms. Then we spent the rest of the night debating whether or not to throw the mattress out of the window until we passed out drunk. These things happened, and life was fun. These guys deserve credit for pulling the paintbrush out of the phoenix scene's anus. </p>

• <p>This shit is hilarious. I have had a blast hanging out with the hooves. I enjoy them live and helped them destroy their hotel room in cottonwood as well as my own. Everyone better come to the show tonight. Party at my place afterwards. Everyone is invited....even the hooves..</p>

• <p>And I'm not blaming Sarah, either. I'm sure that if the group had voted on issuing statements that were funny, self-aware and not self righteous, Sarah would have printed those.</p>

• <p>But really, I've always liked Toby, I love Jal and the Necros are great guys. I also think Hooves are one of, if not the best, rock n' roll bands in town. Their take on this whole thing is classic, and I think reveals the sense of humor they have about themselves and their band. </p> <p>The Necronauts and Jal are some of the funniest people I've ever met. I wish that side of the Black Cactus crew came out in the article as much as the creepy, statement-by-vote, more pro-than thou angle that seemed prevalent. </p>

You're the guy who wrote the feature on Hooves!</p> <p>Seriously though, I think the BC guys are showing some true colors on the comments section where they blame NT for misconstruing them by summing up all their positivity mumbo jumbo efficiently then getting to the more interesting part of the story, which is how and why they want to be different...</p>
