We owned two copies of this album on cassette when I was 6
Does it matter if it's a slow week for show announcements if one of those announcements features MC Hammer?

I say no to that, and such is this week's fate. Sure, this week features a fewer number of shows than in previous weeks, but c'mon people -- we're talking MC Hammer, here. At one point, Hammer was the most celebrated musician in the United States, living in a posh mansion in Fremont, CA. Success soon faded for Hammer and his lavish ways came to bite him in the ass, forcing him to hemorrhage most of his assets, including that magnificent mansion.

The man who was once "2 Legit 2 Quit" was now doomed to a life of VH1 reality shows, urging on TV's Webster, Emmanuel Lewis, with chants of "Manny Mo! Manny Mo!"

But I digress. MC Hammer may have been too legit to quit in 1991, but the man is not too legit to play Fort McDowell Casino this July. He, along with KISS, Ted Nugent, Lil' Kim, The Game and Ricky Skaggs round out a colorful week of show announcements.

Oh, and for those keeping track: MC Hammer's show comes 5 weeks after Vanilla Ice played the Venue of Scottsdale. What Arizona boycott?
