Chase Coy Brings Boyish Good Looks, Adult-Sized Talent to Rhythm Room

Guess who's playing Rhythm Room tonight?!
No, no...it's not Justin Bieber. That's Chase Coy, a guy whose music people who aren't 16-year-old girls might like. Although the girls are probably still going crazy over Coy, as well.
The 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Greenwood, Ind. sounds older than his years, playing acoustic guitar-driven music in the vein of singer-songwriters such as Joshua Radin. His new album, Picturesque, dropped earlier this month and features a beautiful cameo by fellow singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat on the song "If the Moon Fell Down."
Even more impressive than the sweet melodies and heartfelt lyrics that fill the album (all of which Coy wrote) is that the young'n also produced the disc himself. And guitar's not the only instrument featured on the disc--the sound became fuller with the addition of strings, piano and upright bass.
For fans who have followed Coy since the beginning of his career, him getting signed to Universal Republic, on which Picturesque is released, is no surprise. Coy kept himself busy as an independent musician, self-releasing three EP's and an album. His current album can be heard at www.myspace.com/chasecoy.
