Regina Spektor Live With the Obamas: Watch It Now

Regardless of your politics, you have to admit that interesting things are happening musically at the White House. Since Barack took office, the First Family has hosted a number of notables in the music world. While last year included a "Jazz Studio", a country music celebration, and a classical music workshop, last February was the celebration of songs of the Civil Rights Movement. This time, there was a reception honoring Jewish American Heritage Month, and Regina Spektor was invited for an intimate performance.

TwentyFourBit gives us the dish, quoting Spektor as saying, "Having moved to America from Soviet Russia as a child with my family, we dreamed of reconnecting with our religious traditions and of making America our home...Having lived here for over twenty years, it is an unimaginable honor to be invited to the White House." Makes you wonder what hip artist the Obamas will be chillin' with next.
