Eric Fishl and John McEnroe Speak at the Phoenix Art Museum Tonight

And thanks to world-renowned artist, Eric Fischl (a former student at Phoenix College and Arizona State University and a star in his own right), tennis legend John McEnroe will participate in a lecture at the Phoenix Art Museum tonight at 7 p.m.
Since 2005, Fischl began to give back to the Phoenix community by returning each year with the "Eric Fischl Lecture Series."
This year, he's brought McEnroe who owns the John McEnroe Gallery in Soho, New York City and works with contemporary artists to collect, trade and showcase their work.
Tonight the two will speak about art in their lecture titled, "We Can be Serious."
And as a special bonus to the event, Fischl will present the Vanguard Award and two $2500 cash prizes to Phoenix College art students who beat out other competitors in the college's 2010 Student Art Competition.
Yes, it's a big to-do.
But you don't need a special invite. The night is open to the public and is free of cost. But I suggest an early arrival...seating is on a first come, first served basis.
Whatever you do, don't underestimate this duo's starpower.
