While New Times is often the recipient of much criticism, it would be pretty difficult to claim that we, or the subjects of our stories, contain any sort of lack of creativity. This week, in particular, we get a look at unique artists scheduled to perform in the Valley. First, there's Jacob Smigel, a med school student who's also  a musician and purveyor of one-of-a-kind personal vocal recordings. We also get a glimpse into what it would be like if Agnostic Front shacked up with other hardcore punkers in a convalescent home, and what would happen if middle-aged suburbanites were convinced that it would be a good idea to go to a Between the Buried and Me show. Plus we've got previews on Blunt Club's Pickster One, "country-noir singer" Jesse Sykes, and death-metal outfit The Asylum. No matter what your pleasure, we've got you covered.
