​The general rule for New Year's Eve is to try and top every outlandish thing that you've done at a party in the last year. That's kind of tough if you're the Flaming Lips and you've already topped yourself more times than you can count. So Wayne Coyne and the boys did practically the only thing they haven't yet done publicly. Their first action after midnight: Cover the third best-selling album of all time, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, in its entirety. Add that to the usual antics, and evidently a plethora of balloons, and you've got your first taste of the new decade in style.
