Lilith Fair Returns...Does Anyone Care?
| Sarah McLachlan |
Nowadays, the most popular women in music are more prone to bare their midriffs than sit behind a piano, so it'll be interesting to see who's on the bill for the vajay-jay-only 2010 Lilith Fair.
The tour, which originally ran from 1997-1999, has been resurrected by the original founders, including McLachlan, who will also perform. It's set to return next June and, surprise, surprise, Phoenix is not listed in the list of preliminary cities it'll be coming to.
The Fair will feature 11 artists a day on three different stages. There will supposedly be a variety of ages and musical styles showcased, with local talent opening up each show. Fun fact: Christina Aguilera and Nelly Furtado were openers in 1999, and other past performers include Missy Elliott and Dixie Chicks.
And don't worry, the hippie vibe will still be present--there will also be a Village promoting green initiatives at the concert. To keep updated on performers, check out http://www.lilithfair.com/.
