Desert Botanical Garden Announces Spring Jazz Series

The Sugar Thieves: Lending some talented musicians to the Desert Botanical Garden's spring jazz and blues series.
It's not even January yet, but Phoenix's Desert Botanical Garden has announced dates and performers for its "Jazz in the Garden" series. Chef-prepared food and a bar with wine-by-the-bottle will be served, natch. The series, which also has a number of blues acts scheduled, will run Friday nights, starting at 7 p.m. from March 5 to May 29 then starting at 7:30 p.m. from June 4 to June 25. $14 for members, $20 for non-members.

The schedule includes a lot of favorites from the local jazz scene, including Dennis Rowland (mp3 below), The DelRayz, who we'll be writing about in next week's paper and The Bad Cactus Brass Band, which features Meridith Moore and Mikel Lander of the Sugar Thieves.
