First Friday? Nah, that ain't for another couple weeks. It was the Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts, a pulchitrudinous procession of oddities and art through the streets of the Evans Churchill neighborhood that took place this past Saturday.
Organized by the Strange Family Circus and other members of the PHX's fringe/arts community, it's kinda like the Valley's version of such whacked-out parades as Tucson's All Souls Procession. Shopping cart floats, brightly-colored boats, and a beat-busting mobile rave were just some of the more oddball and entertaining entries in this year's edition of PAPA, which you can see for yourself by checking out our slide show
