Scottsdale's Afro:Baile Records will release their third Brazilian-tinted comp CD on September 19. The latest 12-song disc, I love Bossa Nova, has many styles of Bossa Nova, using 11 female vocalists, incorporating some jazz, soul, and acoustic elements for "a timeless groove."
This vibrant compilation captures all the essence of musical style including tastes from Rio, Salvador Bahia, Sao Paulo & Brasilia, Brazil and across the globe to Spain and Switzerland. The "chill vibe" delivered by this mix incorporates all the traditional elements while introducing the future sounds of Bossa Nova fusion that's perfect for a Sunday morning over coffee, or dinner with wine.
Sounds cool to us. The label will host a CD release party at 8 p.m. on September 19 at Bomberos Cafe & Wine Bar at 8801 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix. The party will have live music by Banda Som Brasil from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
