As spooky as the organ usually sounds, it's a wonder it took so long for someone to come up with the idea of combining The World's Creepiest Instrument and Misfits-style horror-punk. Scott Wexton, better known as The Voodoo Organist, brings vintage equipment and some solid songwriting to The Trunk Space August 29 in support of his new record, Darwin Dance Hall Days.
"I have a new rig for live shows and recording, which includes a 1949 Hammond CV organ, and vintage Moog Taurus bass pedals. The sound of the tube driven organ with the analog bass pedals is amazing. Deep, heavy, like a steamroller."

I nearly had an assgasm when I scan that. That's just wild. I takes me back to of the point in time I took my girlfriend all the way down to the community walmart to get hold of some tubes but we could only find was a plastic swimming pool and a couple of doggie bones. We made do with some plastic clothespins and some neon yellow weedwhacker line but you cant replace for the real thing. I figger that as the economic system way out to in china or wherever gets even more serious then those vietnamese people are gonna start wanting more money for their plastic crap. I am hoping it gets real highly-priced so that some of them uptight city folk start shopping at walmart. Then I can go down there and guffaw at them and key their cars when they try to take up two parking spaces.
