Guest DJ Week on The Blaze: We're Loving It
Around the New Times office we're really loving The Blaze's Guest DJ week (which I participated in yesterday). ASU's student radio station does this once a year, pulling in people like Murph from So Much Silence, Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World and, right now, our man Steve Chilton.
But, seriously guys, do NOT text or call our contributor Steve Chilton while he's trying to do his guest DJ slot on The Blaze. He's using his iPhone and it keeps making weird sounds. You don't wanna disrupt John Legend, do you?
No, for real, he's playing John Legend. You gotta hear this.
By the way, here's what I planned to play yesterday, with what I actually played in bold:
Hot Chip, "Ready For The Floor"
Kinch, "All I Done"
Miniature Tigers, "Cannibal Queen"
Against Me!, "New Wave"
Ida Maria, "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked"
Conor Oberst, "Danny Callahan"
The Loveblisters, "Blue Jean Movement"
Elton John, "Crocodile Rock"
The Bronx, "Past Lives"
We Are Scientists, "This Scene Is Dead"
Quazi Modo, "Cheri Cheri"
Alan Jackson, "Don't Rock The Jukebox"
The Black Keys, "Yearnin'"
Crystal Castles, "Vanished"
Young Jeezy, "My President is Black"
Wilco, "Hotel Arizona"
