TV on the Radio on The Colbert Report: Better than the Grammys

• <p>I disagree with a few things here in your report. First, it I believe the quote should be "are so much better than movies ON the newspaper." It was a parallel logic joke riffing on the name tvotr, of course.</p> <p>As for the band being in it for the money, that was a sympathy gag, if you will. I think Mr. Colbert well knows how little money goes to the musicians and artists unless they are monster hot superstars, and that the good crew of TVotR should hopefully, certainly get at least a little career/income boost last night. Huzzah? </p> <p>Well, I'd not heard of the band, but my interest in them pegged when Brian Eno & Bowie were shyly mumbled as major influences. I went right out and bought Dear Science at Border's today and am impressed. The rest of the catalog will be bought shortly, I think.
