Everybody Be Calm: Flaming Lips ARE Coming to McDowell Mountain Music Festival

• <p>So PHX New Times WILL be making a big deal about this right?</p> <p>The band that has, for almost a decade, put the the greatest rock spectacle by any band ever (inclduing the 70's Floyd, Zeppelin, The Who etc er at lest those whose shows we have documented ....) is coming back to liven up the barren landscape that is live pop music in PHX, and so you will write one of those dorky articles about how people simply must go.</p> <p>Besides the MMMF is for charity...and the tickets are CHEAP for a festival...this ain't no $200 ticket bonnaroo or coachella thing making promoters rich....(which is about the only other way to see the Lips these days)</p> <p>And rumor has it their show is about to change dramitically; this may be the last chnace for Arizonans to see the UFO.</p> <p>You ARE going to tell the New Times readership about the UFO, right?</p> <p>Glad you covered the few screenings of Christmas On Mars in the valley. Too bad nobody went....</p> <p>Hope to see you all at the festival. </p>
