Cream Stereo Lounge Premieres Tomorrow Night
It's been a busy time for debuting Valley nightspots.
Within just the past six weeks, not only did American Junkie and The Lodge pop up in Scottsdale, but the long-awaited SideBar finally opened its doors to the public.
Add Cream Stereo Lounge (4252 North Drinkwater Boulevard, Scottsdale, 602-222-9922) to the list, as the swanky new Scottsdale nightlife destination bows tomorrow night. And it's doing so in style with an elegant New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball (entitled "COME celebrate THE BEGINNING") that's almost certain to one of the hotspots for Auld Lang Syne.
According to its MySpace page, Cream (which is housed a few doors down from the equally-chic Pearl Sushi and Jackrabbit Lounge) is promising a mix "European vibe" with a rather refined style of ambience and entertainment. (By the way, is the URL for the joint some kind of catty swipe at Myst?)
Besides an array of DJs spinning high-energy tracks from around the world, patrons will be treated to "romantic and symphonic sounds of live brass, strings, percussionists, and woodwinds" every night. Various "themed events" in the spirit of Cirque du Soleil will also take place, as well as a "nightclub bathtub show" (think Dita von Teese or other burlesque-style starlets).
